PNRR Funding for Cinemas and Theaters with Contec
Thanks to the PNRR (National Recovery and Resilience Plan), many cinemas and theaters will have the opportunity to renovate and upgrade. A recent funding call provided the chance to apply for funds for improvement interventions: Gruppo Contec helped secure positive outcomes for all the structures that chose it as their technical and administrative partner.
In recent months, the allocations for the applications to the funding call from the European Union – NextGenerationEU have been published. The call focused on “Proposals for interventions to promote eco-efficiency and reduce energy consumption in theaters and cinemas, both public and private, to be financed under the PNRR, Mission 1 – Digitalization, innovation, competitiveness, culture, and tourism – Component 3 – Tourism and Culture 4.0 (M1C3), Measure 1 ‘Cultural Heritage for the Next Generation’.”
A remarkable result for Contec in the field of PNRR funding for cinemas and theaters, based on the successful and aligned collaboration between some of its organizations and partner companies, which supported the applicants for funding: owners or managers of theaters and cinema halls.
Each company in Gruppo Contec was involved based on its specific expertise for each funding application:
Pronext handled the administrative aspects of preparing the PNRR funding applications for cinemas and theaters in accordance with the requirements outlined in the call. This expertise was also useful in supporting the technical-administrative management of the funded project, particularly for managing information exchanges and monitoring activities;
Econ Energy prepared pre- and post-intervention audits and energy reports to verify the actual improvement in eco-efficiency from the proposed intervention and the associated reduction in energy consumption;
Contec Ingegneria provided technical consultancy related to the design of building interventions, if required;
Studio Protecno – a partner of Gruppo Contec – provided technical consultancy for the design of plant systems, if required.
The results from the Ministry of Culture have been made public and awarded all the entities that entrusted their projects to Gruppo Contec, each with different projects and improvements, whether in modern contexts or in high historical-value settings:
