    Contec Ingegneria joins Assorestauro – the Italian association for architectural, artistic and urban restoration – increasing its technical memberships with specialized organisations in the sector.

    The entry of Contec Ingegneria into the Italian association dedicated to restoration is fresh.

    Assorestauro was founded in 2005 as the first Italian association among the producers of materials, equipment and technologies, the service providers and specialized companies, created to represent the sector of restoration and conservation of material heritage both nationally and internationally. Today it is the only association and national and international point of reference for those working in the world of Italian conservation, understood as a synthesis of the various disciplines that converge in it, of specialized professionals, technologies and growing entrepreneurship.

Since 2017 Contec Ingegneria has chosen to invest in restoration engineering, the result of specialized skills and references gained over the years. This is an awareness that we can not hide, we have been – and still are – very committed to the recovery of the Italian historical and artistic heritage and  we want to continue on this path.

    What is the restoration engineering?
    It is often thought that the engineering concerns only new buildings, industrial or infrastructural works. But is not so. There is a specialized engineering, with a craft approach, which is applied with meticulous expertise to the recovery of historic buildings with intrinsic values thanks to the decorated parts or aesthetic ornaments but also – and above all – thanks to the structures that constitute the bearing skeleton of the artifact.
    In this case the methodologies of approach and intervention must coordinate the science of construction and the preservation of historical surfaces, of existing openings, of spaces and paths that are consolidated and not variable.
